DIY (Do-It-Yourself)
Having your Low-voltage LED landscape lighting system professionally installed isn't always practical. Many homeowners prefer to do it themselves, and we support that.
However, it's not as easy as it may seem when you're looking a fixtures on display at the big box home improvement stores. Yes, they have some fixtures that look appealing. But when you take them home and open the box, there's likely to be a moment or two of "what the heck do I do now?".
There are a few considerations before you start going down this path:
-
You want to install the highest quality equipment possible. This should be a given. It’s going to be part of your home, part of your landscape, part of your “curb appeal”, and you want it to work perfectly for a very long time.
-
You want a strong product warranty. This also should be a given. Should something go wrong, you may need replacement parts, maybe even an entire fixture replacement under warranty with no out of pocket cost. You can’t get that at the home improvement stores.
-
You want good product selection. In low-voltage LED landscape lighting, one size does not fit all. Check out these posts on our blog: How Bright is Bright and About LED Beam Spread. Yes, it makes a difference what lamp goes into the fixture, and what fixture goes where, and what the fixture is intended to highlight. We know all about that stuff. You may not. That’s why we help you through the process.
-
You want some support. When you buy something from the home improvement store or and you get it home and have questions about how to install it, going back to the home improvement store isn’t always a satisfactory approach. That’s particularly true in the case of low-voltage LED landscape lighting. Sure, they sell it. But they don’t know much about it. Plumbing? Oh yeh, plenty of experts. And they know everything about lumber. But how to do a T connection from a homerun to an uplight and then to a low-voltage transformer? What? You need someone who’s been there and done that to stand behind you while you work.
If you’re serious about lighting your home and you want to do it yourself, you shouldn’t settle for the store up the block. You probably won’t get good results from Amazon. Sure, you can find it, buy it and have on your porch in a few days. But then you’re on your own.
We have a better way.

-
Highest quality equipment. Our suppliers offer the best fixtures you can buy. Brass or copper, capable of withstanding anything, including extreme weather and the ravages of time.
When you buy fixtures on Amazon and in the home improvement stores, they come with fixed lamps (bulbs). That means what you get is what you get, and that’s all you can get.
Our lamps are not fixed. If you want to replace them, it’s easier than changing a conventional bulb in your lamps inside.

-
Strong product warranty. Almost all of our fixtures have a lifetime warranty. Lifetime. Not two years (maybe).
-
Support. We've got your back. We give you all the information you need to unpack, set-up, install, and use your low-voltage LED lighting system.

And we’re available to answer questions for the first 30 days, which should be more than enough time for you to install your lights and get them working the way you want them too. Remember, this is what we do. We’ve been through it all, we know what snags you might encounter and how to get past them. Want more? You can get an optional year of support, too. Call us or email us. We’re not going anywhere.
